Nothing Phone 3a Lite Launches: Transparent Design Meets Budget-Friendly Price

Nothing has officially unveiled its most affordable smartphone yet — the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite. While the brand already offers budget devices under its CMF sub-brand, this marks the first entry-level phone under the main Nothing lineup, carrying the company’s signature transparent design and minimalist aesthetic.

Familiar Design, Unique Identity

At first glance, the Phone (3a) Lite looks similar to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, though there’s one key difference — no dedicated telephoto camera. Instead, it gets Nothing’s trademark transparent glass back with a single Glyph light, which pulses to alert you about calls, messages, or notifications.

Smooth Display and Solid Specs

The smartphone sports a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of typical brightness, and a 3,000 nits peak. It’s protected by Panda Glass, features an in-display fingerprint scanner, and houses a 16MP selfie camera in the punch-hole cutout.

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset powers the device, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. You also get microSD card expansion, something that’s becoming rare in this price segment.

Capable Cameras and Long Battery Life

On the back, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite packs a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The device runs on Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15, with the company promising three major Android updates and six years of security patches — an impressive commitment for a budget phone.

Powering it all is a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, ensuring all-day use with minimal downtime.

Pricing and Availability

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite is available in Black and White color options. Pricing starts at $249 / €249 / £249 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and goes up to $279 / €279 / £279 for the 8GB + 256GB model. Open sales begin today globally.

With its sleek transparent design, dependable performance, and attractive pricing, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite might just redefine what an entry-level smartphone can look and feel like.
