Samsung’s Galaxy AI is getting smarter — and more multilingual. Since its debut in early 2024, the AI-powered platform has steadily expanded its language support, growing from 16 languages in April 2024 to 20 by December. Now, it’s adding two more: Filipino and Gujarati.
These new languages can be downloaded as language packs directly through the Settings app. Filipino is spoken by around 87 million people, while Gujarati is used by about 62.5 million globally. The two additions were developed in collaboration with Samsung Research centers in Indonesia and India.
With this update, Galaxy AI now supports 22 languages in total — collectively spoken by an estimated 5.9 billion people, or nearly 74% of the world’s population.
Samsung also shared some impressive usage stats. Over 70% of Galaxy S25 users reportedly use Galaxy AI and Google Gemini regularly, while 47% rely heavily on AI features in their daily lives. The company expects Galaxy AI to reach over 400 million devices worldwide by the end of 2025, after surpassing the 200 million milestone last year.
